William specialized his Master’s in Counselling degree in Community Counselling and was privileged to work with adolescents, adults, and children who had experienced domestic violence, as well as inmates and other walk-in clients facing issues such as bereavement, coping with change, depression, and familial concerns.
In addition, he worked for six years as a counsellor in schools and has been working with a community agency for over four years. He also lends his services to various NGOs and private agencies, further broadening his experience. Alongside his counselling work, he writes books that advocate for children and promote mental well-being.
As a counsellor, he is continuously fascinated by the fundamental skill of active listening. He strives to provide others with the opportunity to be heard through an eclectic approach founded on a strong Rogerian basis. He prioritizes working at the client’s pace through a genuine relationship built on trust, care, and respect, aiming to provide a secure space for individuals to reflect, share, and process personal difficulties, thoughts, and emotions.
